Erin Quigley, Principal
Erin founded Kingfisher Conservation & Recreation LLC in 2013 to better serve her community and support issues she cares about, like land conservation, rural economic & cultural development, and connecting people with place. When she’s not consulting, she’s co-owner of Portland Paddle, a kayak rental & tour company, and project coordinator for Take Action Portland, an all-volunteer community involvement organization. Erin has a master’s degree in natural resources from the University of Vermont, and has spent several years as a PhD student in UMaine’s interdisciplinary Sustainability Solutions Initiative. She has many years of experience working with non-profits, state & municipal governments, and private businesses, and has a broad perspective on natural resources, outdoor recreation, sustainable forestry, and land conservation issues in Maine and New England. She lives in Portland, Maine with her partner Ned, where she enjoys taking advantage of Portland’s many eating establishments and getting outside via hiking, camping, paddling, backcountry skiing, and looking for swimming holes.
